One Acts at ThesFest 2026!

Bring your work to the ThesFest stage! Schools are invited to submit a recorded One-Act Play for the opportunity to be selected to perform live at ThesFest.

ThesFest One-Act Submission Stipulations

Schools may submit a One-Act Play to be selected and performed at the annual ThesFest.
Schools do not need to modify their at-school performance, they may use all tech they have at. their disposal. However, if selected, productions will be allowed the following for their performance:

  • 8 stage blocks

  • 2 cafe chairs

  • 1 3x3 table

  • 1 door

Any combination of these pieces may be used, however no additional scenic pieces can be added.

Any props used in the show MUST fit in one 18-gallon tote with a lid that closes.
Any costumes to be worn MUST fit in one 18-gallon tote with a lid that closes.

There will be a simple lighting plot (lights up and down).

There will be a one-hour tech time for the performing group on the day of the festival.

The purpose of these limitations is to boost creativity and to even the playing field for all submitting schools. Submissions are due by October 28th and you will be notified of acceptance status by November 13th!
