Mainstage Performance Applications
Schools are invited to submit their productions for the 2026 ThesCon Mainstage presentation. Don’t miss the chance to bring your troupe’s work to the ThesCon stage! Details, requirements, and deadlines are outlined in the application below.

Mainstage Submissions
Mainstage shows are full-length productions that highlight the best of Tennessee high school theatre. Two shows will be selected to perform at ThesCon 2026, based on evaluations from a panel of anonymous third-party adjudicators.
This year, adjudicators will use the rubrics provided below and offer written feedback to all productions submitted for consideration.
Each show chosen to perform at ThesCon is awarded The David Moody Memorial Scholarship. A $500 scholarship to assist with the cost of bringing a show to ThesCon.
Submission Guidelines
Deadline: All applications must be submitted by Monday, November 17, 2025. No deadline extensions will be granted due to the time required for adjudication and school planning.
Notification: The two selected productions will be notified by Thursday, November 27, 2025.
Withdrawal: If a selected school must withdraw, please email info@tnthespians.org immediately so the runner-up can be notified.
Late Shows: If your production runs after the deadline, you may still submit a recording of a dress rehearsal along with your application.
Requirements & Restrictions
Productions must follow all TN Thespian Conference Rules & Regulations (linked below), including technical requirements, load-in/load-out times, and stage limitations.
Selected shows must use the host site’s lighting and sound equipment, which will be minimal.
Directors of selected shows must contact tnthescon.madim@gmail.com to arrange performance details.
Material should be carefully chosen. Inappropriate language, innuendo, or sexual content is not permitted.
All performers, crew, and sponsors must be registered delegates of the current year’s Tennessee ThesCon (no exceptions). All delegates must pay full registration fees.
